Services We Offer

Clothing Bank:
Our Clothing bank is open due to a combination of God's faithfulness and the faithfulness of Christians all across Spokane. Over the last your, our basement has suffered three floods, repeatedly shutting down the clothing bank sometimes for months at a time. God has proved himself faithful to this ministry time after time always providing volunteers and resources when there was a need.
We have a full time staff member overseeing the clothing bank and helping clients find exactly what they need. We are always looking for extra help so if you're interested, Please give us a call

Food Bank:
The City Gate food bank is unique to Spokane. We are the only food bank that allows clients to 'shop' for their food. Clients are able to pick and choose their food here, whereas at all the other food banks in Spokane they are given a box of pre-packaged food. Most of our food comes from Second Harvest, who has been a faithful partner for years.
Clients can have one food bank appointment per month. The amount of food they are allowed to take is not meant to last the whole month just get them by for a few days. We wish we were able to give more!

Alberta House:
Above the church, we own and operate thirty low-income clean and sober SRO's (single room occupancy) including three units for emergency housing. Most of our residents are recovering addicts so there are very strict guidelines that have to be followed in order to reside there. We are so blessed to have been given this incredible opportunity to build relationships and share the love of jesus with our residents.

Kitchen:
We receive food donations from several different grocery stores including Albertsons, Safeway, Costco, and Super 1 foods. Every day we're open, the kitchen serves pastries and coffee and, depending on what supplies we have, breakfast or lunch is served. We have several regular volunteers that keep out kitchen running and we thank God for providing them as they are such a blessing!

Three Nights a week we open our doors for dinner and every Saturday morning we serve Breakfast. Churches from all over Spokane and the surrounding areas come together and commit to one day a month coming to The City Gate and serving a meal. It's amazing to see God unite Christians under a common purpose, because no matter the denomination we all love Jesus and that's all that really matters.
